Yamadori is a Japanese word which means “collected plants from nature”. The best time for Yamadori is during early Summer.

In tropical countries, one of the best specimens to collect in the wild is Bantigue (Pemphis acidula). Especially Bantigue from Northern partof Luzon and Babuyan group of isand in the Philippines will shew great maturity and strength through the rough bark on good old specimens.

Yamadori is the way to get best quality trees to make bonsai. It takes a lot of time to select and dig a bonsai quality tree, but it is worth entire struggle.
